Cargo camera not working
The cargo camera doesn’t activate. I only have the tailgate camera with the only option is zoom on the screen. The options for all the different selections which shows on the owners manual are not present.
I went through Forscan and can’t seem to find the ability to add or modify the camera panel.
I was told that the screen / monitor was replaced with a F250 model but that they were interchangeable.
Any thoughts or advice?

Im having a simular prroblem. forscan shows nothing. no codes either. the bad news is one of the things that it could be is a wire inside the harness that runs along the floor on the side where the door sill is. there are at least 3 known to ford problems (ac drain leak, windsheild leak, rear of cabin vent seal leak) that will leak water into the cab area and you wont know it until the water accumalation is bad enough that it saturates the carpet. I pulled up my carpet and found a quart of water in a cavity along the door floor along the doors. unfortunately...this cavity contains a main wire harness....which of course gets submerged with the water from these leaks. no drain holes in this area (dumb move) and the camera control module is basically on the floor next to the pax side fuse box so its going to get wet. so the problems and fixes gets complicated. I saw one video of this type of problem and nothing was indicated in any diagnostic tool. the person tested for 12v at the camera (he knew the pin out) and there was none. he then ran a wire from the front (12V) source) to the camera, and the camera worked. this made me upset....I just found this leak problem this week . my cameras stopped working. the whole area was submerged below the carpet. good thing I still have a warranty..but ford is good at disqualifing a repair as being warranty eligible.
in your case since some of you cameras work...have someone check the camera pin out for voltage and go from there. you may find the wires to the camera connection corroded.
good luck.

You are saying the cargo camera isn't working but it sounds like you actually mean none of the cameras (front, mirrors, cargo and 360 view) are working except for the back up camera. 250 or 350 makes no difference, so wiring or programing might be the issue. When you press the camera button on the dash what happens? When you put it in reverse are you not seeing a split screen with rear view and overhead view?
Front camera works, typical low speed when you press the button. Also shows the spilt screen.
Reverse shows the split screen but only the plus sign is visible, I can zoom in the tailgate camera.
The overhead is giving me the side cameras as I can see objects when I move.
None of the other buttons are present as if one wanted to switch cameras etc…..

I disconnected the batteries. then disconnected the camera control module. heated up the module with warm air for about 15 minutes. blew warm air through the connectors on the module and the connectors on the wire harness. sprayed the wire harness with contact protectant. reassembled. reconnected batteries. everything worked. problem fixed. apparently the water leak (cased by either AC drain, windsheild leak, or rear cab vent leak, all TBD) got moisture into either the camera control module or the connection. the module is located at the front pax foot area next to the fuse box, almost on the floor. if you find moisture in this area...you need to also check the harness that runs in the cavity along the door well floor. I pulled a quart of water out of mine. since its been raining the last few days and the water has not re-leaked...im am suspecting the AC drain to be the problem. I ordered and recieved the drain elbow that is part of the fix. weather permitting I will install asap. in the mean while..I am not using the AC and I put a 1/8th drain hole in the lowest point of the subject cavity. hope this helps.
Appreciate all the input and advice.
I got it to work, this is what I did,
I confirmed I was getting power to the camera; removed it and ran a jumper negative and discovered power was being sent to the camera when reverse was engaged. So that potentially ruled out the wiring module etc....
Went into Forscan and got into APIM Module configuration. Looked at every system until I got to Multi Camera Toggle Button. It was set on Hardware. I changed it to the only other option, Software.
Cycled the power and the correct buttons appeared and I was able to cycle through the entire system including the cargo camera.
Not a fan, and I'm not excited how the color grid fades out in reverse but once in drive the color brightens? Mines a 2021 XLT.
Heck my 2014 F150 the backup camera is very vibrant?
I notified my Ford service advisor about replacing the camera do to the lack luster performance.
What say you...
The cameras suck.
I know my buddy replaced them all looking to improve their images and thought it was better until he looked at his new Ford Bronco system. It makes his truck look like a 486 computer
