to follow up: been running it exclusively since i posted that two months ago. i intend to run it as long as the price delta to regular unleaded keeps up. i've seen about a 15% reduction in fuel economy, but the station by my house has continued to keep E85 27-30% less per gallon than unleaded. The minor increase in power is noticeable as well.

Hmmm, speaking of corn juice, I wonder how the lincoln would like that. I am supposed to run premium for the factory tune they come with.

No it's not. Also a quick search shows that it is not good for that series engine. So I guess I'll just keep running the 89 octane......

My truck has the yellow cap but thats the only indication it is flex fuel so I am leery to put silage in it.

yeah the yellow cap is tell-tale it's a FFV. you might like what it does for that 5.0 mike, after the knock sensors get used to it. what's the price difference down there?

E85 is higher octane (100-105), from what i read it works great with 91+ tunes.
