I tried to go out riding last weekend but my trailer had other plans. Got about 30 miles from home and a damn wheel came off the trailer. Two studs broke off and then must have started vibrating and then the last three lug nuts come off and the wheel went bye bye. Found the wheel and limped the trailer back home on three wheels. I did manage to find all the parts yet on Saturday so spent the rest of Saturday fixing that. I didn't trust the rest of the hubs so got all new all the way around and got new brakes as well. Now I should be good to go.....I hope anyway. Of course the bad luck didn't end there. My son went riding with some friends around home when we got back with the trailer and of course he blew a belt on his sled. He had a spare with but it's like yep...this is not our day.
Good morning Jim. I have been out twice. Maybe a total of 260 miles or so I think.
That is good. I'm a little jealous

That sucks but got it back home. How big is this trailer? Sounds like a good size, I assume enclosed. Do you take that to the Dakotas with your side by side? I have a single axel 8.5x10 and I changed a tire on it. But all 5 lug studs were loose and just spun. So I had to pull the whole assembly off the spindle and then weld the head of the stud to the back of the spindle so I could get the lug nuts off. After I changed the tire I put it back on but I still need to get a new hub to assembly to replace it. Sledding isn't for the poor or weak hearted.

No this trailer doesn't haul the side by side. It is a enclosed 20' with a 4' v-nose. I actually switched trailers this year. This is a '06 one. I had a 4 place that had a canvas snocap on it but I needed a taller one. My son bought a newer sled this year and it didn't fit well in the canvas top trailer. Only had a couple inches to spare hieght wise. So I sold that one and bought this hard sided trailer. Actaully ended up making money after selling the canvas one and buying this one so that was nice.
That sucks about the studs coming loose. No fun at all.
Good morning Jim and Jay! Finally a day without fog. Can't hardly remember the last day without fog. Now if the sun would come out that would be even better.
