5.4 bogging out
Recently truck has been bogging out on highway around 1500-2000 rpm. Today truck bogged out and it would only idol down road. I give it gas rpms would stay down but it would start squealing louder the more throttle I give. Limped it home to use obd2 scanner. Turned truck off then back on and it went away. Only code found was misfire cylinder 2… but have had this code on and off for a bit now. Anyone ever have this happen? I don’t think that a intermediate misfire would cause that. Truck is a 2003 super duty with the great 2v 5.4 triton. Any ideas? Or just trade it in now before I start throwing parts at it.

Bogging like that could be something simple like a clogged fuel filter. The squealing though ... is it the belt squealing? Slipping belt could be due to old belt, idler pully assembly not putting correct tension, etc.
Misfire on #2, I'd still want to fix. You can try swapping the COP over to a different cylinder and see if the code changes. If it does, that is the bad COP. If not, pull plug and inspect it.
