4.6 t-bird
aftermarket & factory parts are interchangeable the only exception to the rule is that you need to know where your block was made either canidian or in detroit? And even then the only issue is that the bolts are either 10mm or 8mm on certian parts of the engine not all. From 92 to 96 the 4.6 sohc is almost the same with little or no varriances, even some of the dohc stuff is sohc swapable on the two. For example the crank on all 4.6 dohc engines is neutral in balance : cobra cranks are steel & ultra strong, they are all interchangeable. There are some very good articles in the feb & march issues of muscle mustangs & fast fords.
The bird used to be my choice of rapid transit in the late 80's &
for a couple of years in the 90's. But in the mid 90's i came to know a new monster in the ford family the mod motors, i currently have 3 lincolns 2 mark 8's one that produces 500hp at rear wheels & the other is at a not too shaby 400hp at rear wheels
the mod motor is going to be the future of high preformance for
ford just wait. p.s. just look down the road @ 05 GT & 05 lightning
both engines producing in excess of 500 hp with no mods yet!
good luck on your bird turbo ted
