A 35 MPH impact isn't considered low speed. And how fast was the 300 going at your right angle upon impact? You can't discount that force. I was a traffic accident investigator in a law enforcement days.
Thanks for the info. I really never thought about the side impact force.
All I can say is total that bitch. this was a while ago but in 2003 my wife pulled out of a shopping center across 2 lanes of stopped traffic and a woman in a tahoe came flying down the center lane and my wife hit her in the axel with my 2003 F150 with only 18,000 mile on it. She was going way slower than your 35 MPH and the frame got bent and they said they couldn't or don't (can't remember which) straighten those frames. So they had to rebuild my truck onto a new 2003 frame. Could not be a different year frame, they said it had to be an '03. I wanted it totaled because it would always show up on carfax. they said Oh no, this won't affect the value in any way. I tried everything but they would not total it. They re-built it and I had some problems for a while but kept taking it back in. it had clunks and creaks but I made them fix and find everything. It finally got to where I was happy with it again but it took a while. When it came time for me to trade it in or sell it guess what. They wanted to give me bottom dollar as a trade in because they said the truck has been in an accident and they wouldn't be able to sell it. The whole thing was a pain in the ***. I ended up keeping it because to me it was worth more than they would give me. I finally traded it in for a kia optima for my wife in 2014.
