My daughter was deployed to Europe, lived in the Netherlands and worked in Belgium. While there, she was able to travel to Italy, Poland, Germany and France.
She's till fascinated by the Euro culture noting that the price you pay is on the tag, tax included. She felt like the food was healthier, binge drinking like Americans didn't seem to be an obsession, she felt the people were more polite and considerate, public transport was better, etc.
She also noted that the availability of fresh fruits and produce is better in the US, we Americans tend to enforce our personal space, we do a poor job with homelessness, hunger and other human issues.
Two of my brothers in law came from Europe , One from England and the other from Switzerland, neither would move back. It would take to long to post why but the most interesting thing to me was the comparison of taxes. Our taxes apparently are much less here. Here you do your own taxes ,over there they send you a bill and you have vey little recourse to challenge it.
To add something: here in Germany, if you live alone without children, you pay almost half of your income in taxes.
The politicians ruin their own people, bring every foreigner to Germany who then lives off our social system and exploits Germany.
The majority of Germans must have two jobs and/or both spouses must work.
Since 2015, the conditions in Germany have deteriorated drastically,
We currently have the most incompetent and worst government ever.
Thank God that you are allowed to live in the USA.
We need your hard working attitudes! .....
Its time for Cheese Ball, Wheat crackers and appetizers. ......
We have all kinds of problems facing each of us. Its how we
handle them that counts, not what they are.
