Welp, push button start is a red line for me, I absolutely hate them. So I guess I'll have to keep the 22 running forever or look at other brands and hope they still have it. I don't and won't ever have this feature
I have the push button. It is nice not to have to carry a key or find the hole on the coloum. Not sure why you guys don't like it. Yea they keep throwing the once an option gadgets on these trucks to it comes standard on the truck. I don't like alot of the stuff sold as gadgets either. They really don't do as expected so why pay $$$$ for them. My current 2019 has a ton of them and most I can live without for sure. And especially the Bliss which I don't trust at all so I advoid it totally.
The biggest rub for me is the STX package is required to get the 7.3 in the XL line, but STX is not required to get the 6.7 PSD.
So you cannot build an XL 7.3 for not much lessthan an XL 6.7. Weird times we live in.
I bet they will change that or you will have to go to a cab and chassis. Hopefully you can still derate a gas C&C SRW.
Whats interesting is they are proposing to offer the lighter duty transmission in one of the packages that will be worked the hardest by fleet drivers.
Not a fan of the push button start. I wouldn't not buy a vehicle because it has push button start, just not my favorite feature. Being relatively short though, I'm a big fan of the step bumper and side step in the bed!
yea I dont get the hesitancy on push button start either. I mean its not like the actual keyed ignition has any physical connection to the starter wires... I bet anybody who is anti push button start has never actually taken apart a modern ignition key cylinder...
