Hey all, I’m looking for a bright replacement for the stock reverse lights. I don’t want to cut into the bumper or hang pods. Just wondering if anybody has had any luck with any led replacement bulbs.
thanks in advance,
I've been running on my '18 for the last 2 yrs without issues. Brighter than stock for sure but not as good as standalone pods. These may or may not be the same part number as the 2016, I think they changed at some point

I switched my halogens over to Diode Dynamics LED's. Much brighter, but I don't like how the dash screen pulses with them. I wouldn't buy them again. In fact, I may be pulling them out.
I will check those out for sure, is there a forum section for the vendors? I seen the specials and group buy section, but is there an actual section where the sponsor vendors can be found?

Thanks for the reply, must be something in the way they’re grounded or something?

Light emitting diodes pulse/strobe. It's not continuous like incandescent. Digital cameras pick that up. Nature of the beast. AFAIK, there is nothing you can do about it.

I understand what you’re saying now, I was thinking as in causing interference with the screen/ camera. I use the mirrors most of the time, until I get close if there’s a curb or pole then I’ll use the camera. Maybe they wouldn’t bother me as much.

Interesting. No issues with screen flicker on the ones I posted above.

Not bad for $23. Now I feel like I a victim of marketing hype. I paid $100 for the Diode Dynamics junk which I trusted to be a top brand. I intended to also purchase their replacement headlight bulbs, but I put that on hold indefinitely after wasting $100 on their reverse lights. And knowing there are superior units out there for 25% of the price of the DD's, I won't even be able to sell them so I guess they go into the landfill. Damn.
Now that I think about it, I am going to put the stock halogen's back in and do flush mount pods cut into the bumper on a separate switch.
