Several features are listed in multiple modules. More features are controlled in the APIM on newer vehicles.
Use extreme caution enabling/disabling features not supported by your truck.

I got that feeling about half way through and aborted making any more changes.
looks like our HVAC is the same, ill get the SCME today.
Interesting that HVAC is the same.
ZooDad and I did some test this morning, whereby we changed some settings in the HVAC and APIM module, but unfortunately same result, no seat heat until the PTS is pressed. Ambient air temp was 41*F which is above what the Ford Work Shop manual lists as the trigger threshold (< 32*F) for seat heat. We are going to try again Sunday where ambient air temp is projected to be below <30*F, to rule that threshold out. In any event, screen shot of the test we ran this morning showing driver's and passenger seat heat constant until I hit the PTS, whereby the driver's seat heat then increased.
Thanks to @Svenster for all his data collection and testing so far.
I truly believe we are getting close, but with at said. Anyone who has posted that has not provided VIN please PM Svenster so we can add it to our data comparisons. @Cajones038 Can you share your VIN(s) both truck and Expedition please. @cat-alac Can you share your VIN please.

What are you leaning towards? Looking at it now im leaning towards SCME. that module controls the actual function. the HVAC just sends the command.

@JHForman812 Thanks for the input.
I have compared (3) trucks @Squanto (working) Yours (Working) and @Svenster SCME (776) modules. All are the values are identical except Yours @JHForman812 is one version back (EL vs EM)
We are trying to confirm actual operation with temp thresholds being met.
I have narrowed down the change to trucks built in early September. That is why we are asking for build dates also now. More data, closer we get. We have reached out to a couple members hopefully they can assist.
Key ignition or push-to-start ignition Push to Start
Rear heated seats Yes/No Yes
Adaptive steering Yes/No No
Adaptive cruise control Yes/No Yes
Most preferable, if you do have seat heat on remote start activation prior to key-on or push-to-start. Do NOT have seat heat during remote start, prior to push-to-start.
Short Update:
Unfortunately we do not have a solution yet. We are in need of more MY22 VINs that can confirm they have seat heat on a remote start activation and prior to key-on or PTS.
@ZooDad has spent a bunch of time comparing various modules and their associated firmware and configurations, and it appears that one or more of GWM, HVAC and APIM are the likely modules at issue on MY22 rigs. Would be great if any of you would be willing to share you VIN with me so I can forward to ZooDad.
I also want to specifically thank all of the FTE members that have previously provided us their VIN and/or data points. I am continuing to track those and has been a good resource for ZooDad as he continues to trouble shoot this issue.
I appreciate all the effort that has gone into this. It is baffling that its not an "easy" fix for Ford. Or maybe just the right people (at Ford) don't care about it.
