TBear You have any pictures of your work..I need to do something but just havn't got that far yet. Like your idea....
Hope the pics help.
Yeah, I was gonna spray the whole step back side black, but I ran out. I got the bolts anyway.
I tried to enhance the hanging mount I made.
They are CARR #124032 Super Hoops. I found them on Ebay from an estate, never used ... but they are still sold. They come with brackets that allow for a multitude of mounting, but I just hung them from through bolts using the front holes, then braced for support to set level. I'll also post a picture of measurements.
You could mount them using the reversable mounts, then add bracing if desired.
Rich,
Is that truck with the 4" channel fabricated step yours?
Who's ever it is they did a great fab job,
After looking around, I have decided to use that idea with 4" channel on my 79 250.
It will be a little different as mine is a flare side but same idea.
Thank you who ever you are.
Alex
I am digging for his username, I am sure his truck thread has all sorts of info on them. He is an avid back woods camper with that truck and is from the south west area. Az maybe? He has worked like crazy on that truck. He put those bumpers on from Protofab.
