So, right after I bought my 97 F250, I replaced the cps. However, silly me, I lost the original bolt that secured it in place. I scrounged and found another bolt that seemed to work. Right thread, etc. Since, I've had the truck to a couple different mechanics, and both replaced the cps (Ford Motorcraft OEM), reusing my scrounged bolt.
I'm still having issues with a crank no start. I followed the flow chart in stickies and it points me directly to the CPS ("wait to start" lights, but the tach doesn't register while cranking). So, I'm wondering, could the bolt be the issue? If so, how can I go about getting a replacement?
