Hangman-
Sounds like an ambitious project but should give you a one-of-a-kind truck when completed. Mar-K in Oklahoma City makes bed parts and I think custom side panels. Try www.mar-k.com to see what they offer. Keep us informed of the F100 body fitting to the 84 chassis and what changes you face to make it work.

Not sure about the side panel question, but I think a lot of people on here would call me one of the resident "experts" on the extended cabs (yeah right, I'm just one of the crazy guys who got bored and cut his truck in half) So I may be able to help you out in that regard. Before I started my project, I did quite a bit of searching for other people who have done similar things.

I'm working on stretching a 1952 F-3 1-ton 20 inches, making myself an extended cab. I also plan on fitting mine onto a late 70's 3/4 or 1-ton chassis. You can check out my two web sites (my gallery and my FTE page) and see what I have done.

Pretty much all I can say without any specific questions is it will take a lot of time and careful measurements, but it is doable. If you have any questions, just ask.

Somewhere on this FTE site in one of the gallerys ther is a crew-cab converted '53 to '56 F-100 sitting on a late model 1-ton chassis with a Power Stroke diesel in it! The truck is painted white and looks super cool! I don't know how you would go about finding that particular gallery however. I found it while just browsing the '48 to '60 Gallery I think. There were'nt too terribly many and if you look for solid white you'd probably find it.
