My truck won't be coming with one but my wife wants this feature, does anyone know what this module is called or what the part number is so I can find one from a junk yard?
I can’t help with the part number, but we use our trucks hot spot and like it. We just paid the $200/year for “unlimited” data. It’s been handy for using laptops when driving (not me, the driver…) My wife has used it for work/school and my daughter has used it for school. We could also use our phones, but it’s one less thing to tie the phones up with, and we tend to save the hotspot data on our phones for use in the camper when camping.
Yep, I have the 20 dollar credit on my window sticker

I know that doesn't answer your question...
I find tethering to be a pain and at least with my phone transmits internet very poorly to other devices. Wife wanted this so we can throw tablets at the kids to do their homework on or I can work from.

I don't think so, I think thats for sync/Bluetooth although I'm not certain. My current truck has the module and I was going to remove it before sale so I can put it in the new one, but I can't figure out which it is.
I thought the TCU was located on the back wall of the cab, behind the seat. Will the truck still come with everything else necessary to plug that in and do what programming is necessary? Just wondering why Ford wouldn't offer to do it when parts are available if it would only cost them a little time.
