erratic oil cunsumption
I have a 1990 ford bronco 5.0 manual. this vehicle has an interesting oil problem. Most of the time it uses no oil dipstick at full mark for months then next time check its 3 quarts low. Does not matter if city or freeway driving hot weather or cold weather. No signs of any leaking oil/ no signs of smoke. Any one have any idea !!!!!!!!!

It’s gotta be burning oil, I have a 94 f150 and it had a worn rear main and oil pan gasket and it don’t leak that much if your sure it’s not leaking which would be pretty obvious it’s gotta be burning it.

no gas smell or taste, 75000 on this engine. Been working on my own vehicles since I was 16 now 66 have never come across this before. my hobby was mech restoring old trucks from 1930 aa to 1990 trucks chevy /international/dodge but my favorite is ford v8s. all i have seen before it does burn oil or leak or it does not, not variable. I am at a loss for ideas.
have changed pcv assembly, air filter, checked vacuum hoses for oil negative results.
