Can anyone tell me if it is appropriate for aftermarket fuel pumps to be taller than the original, such that there are "springs" on the columns of the aftermarket pump to allow you to push the pump down to the appropriate height for the tank ?
I just wanted to make sure that this is the normal case - that aftermarket fuel pumps are made for mass applicability and fit via these springs that seemingly allow for different height requirements of the fuel tank?
