I have a 1991 f-150 with power door locks. I need to replace the driver's side power door lock solenoid. The local Ford dealer wants $130 for one. Is there a less expensive supplier for this part any where around?
Brad's Auto & Truck Salvage (almost all trucks and a ton of them). Redmond, OR 1-800-232-2723.
6 guys work the phones full-time. Prices are good. They ship anywhere. And, we live in the high desert...little moisture and NO RUST.
Good Luck

Both went bad on my '89 F250. I plan on keeping the truck, so I replaced them with new one. I gave $85 at my local dealership (each). The only way I'd buy them at a junkyard is if they were very, very cheap.
I realize it's probably to late in the game but here I go .....(caint help m'self)
I would be one of those weird electronic installers and let me just say to the "Noodle" who
spent $85!! H.E.L.L.O
let's see now...on average "Power door lock actuators RETAIL for about twenty bucks.
I'd sell 'em to you fellow Fordians for ten.

My '89 F250 had both go bad within a month of each other. They're not really solenoids, they're actually motors! I couldn't believe it when I saw it. You could go JC Whitney and install a kit. If you intend to keep your vehicle, breakdown and buy the correct OEM part.

Hey Mudd,
If you got'em, I'll buy them by the pound. There is no way on God's good green earth that I'll part with a $130 that easily!!!!
