OD OFF light
Puzzling... My 01 F250 has that stupid OD Off light on the column shifter and occassionally it doesn't come on when I push the button to turn overdrive off. It doesn't happen all of the time. Sometimes if I flick the end of the shifter, it will come on. Any suggestions? I also have that problem with the door ajar light staying on. I am waiting for it to happen again to try out the WD-40 solution that was posted on this forum.

You might have your dealer check out the OD off light. My dealer said the have had several trucks with that problem. Turns out that a wire has been broken in the shifter due to repetitive movement of the shift lever.
