Automatic to manual

Is it possibel to change an automatic transmission to a manual I know if I could, I'd need to put a hole in the floor for the stik but how would the clutch be put in?🤔

You seem to be hunting around for something magic that will turn your truck into something different. If you don't know the basics, you will have a tough time making the switch. There are books and websites on how things work. I suggest you try those. You can also use the search function here for "manual swap " or "ZF swap" and find information.

Yes, it's do-able......but it's not a small job.
I converted my '83 from auto to manual a few years ago &, while I had my own shop, it still took over 20 hours work from drive-in to drive-out.

Regarding your clutch question - once you have removed the auto trans & flexplate (equivalent to a flywheel for a manual) - you install a block plate, flywheel, clutch plate, pressure plate & parts, & bell housing.....your manual trans then just bolts up to the bell housing. All of that is the quick part .
There are other parts you would also need to gather up for the swap.

I think I probably spent as long in the cab changing pedals & linkages, cutting the floor, changes to the dash etc, as I did under the truck on the mechanicals.

Best way to do it in my mind is to find a complete donor parts truck...maybe one with a rusted out body or frame, or one with a bad engine, etc. If you have junkyard(s) close by with lot of 1980-1986 trucks, where you can grab all of the necessary swap parts that is a close second.

I am actually in the process of finding a donor truck I've found only a few places with ridiculous asking prices.

One very important part you didn’t mention is to install a pilot bearing. Not much worse than getting it all put back together only to tear it all back apart.
