buzzing noise

buzzing noise
Recently purchased a 97 F150... occaisionally when I hit the hazard switch and the release it (so they are now off) I get a weird buzzing noise that seems to be comming from the steering column (near the hazards).
When I turn the hazards back on, the buzz goes away. but when I turn them off, it comes back. pressing the breaks also causing the problem to cease.... Eventually overtime the noise will go away.
ideas?

Hi hoody11100 and welcome to FTE 
It sounds to me like your multifunction (signal/wiper) switch might be on its way out. It could have a bad connection inside which is causing the buzz. I think I'd remove the covers from the steering column and see if I could pinpoint where the noise is coming from.
If the noise is coming from further down and towards the center of the truck a bit more it could be your flasher relay.
