74 F250 missing when warm

74 F250 missing when warm
My 74 F250 with 390 and Holley 750 starts fine runs fine but after a few miles it starts surging and missing. I almost feel it is bad gas if it didn't run fine at the start. Just pulled the plugs and reset the gap to .035 Haven't checked timing Is that my next step?

Make sure the choke is opening all the way and any vacuum lines that are temperature switched are not leaking when the vacuum temperature switch puts that vacuum line live.
