About a year ago my check engine light came on and forscan pointed to #3 misfire. Replaced the spark plug and all was well for 6 months. Then #8 cylinder misfire, new plug and all was well. Then a couple of weeks later #7 cylinder misfire, replaced the spark plug and all was well for a day. Engine loss of power and misfire way worse than before. Code said multiple cylinders were misfiring and many possible causes from pinched fuel line, evap canister plugged off , contaminated fuel and more that I don't recall.
Vehicle is 25 years old but would like to get it back for in town driving.
Any one else have this problem or suggestions where to start. No emissions testing in my area so a work a round on the evap would work but never tried that and why would a plugged evap cause all the loss of power. Any help will definitely be appreciated.

What are your fuel trims at idle, 1500 rpm, 2500 rpm?
Could be a failing fuel pump, check pressure. 97 should be 35-40 psi or so. Very likely at this point.
Evap could be a problem if hoses are rotted out. Here in the salt belt, the steel evap line had a hole. Evap canister issues can also let vapors in at the wrong time. The engine actually uses those vapors as fuel and adjusts appropriately.
