We bought the item in the link above as a cooler\ice replacement and have no complaints at all. Has very similar capacity to our Yeti (35 or 45, can't recall) and it's great not ever paying for ice or dealing with wet food. It's really nice being able to set it to 4 degrees too, allows us to buy stuff like ice cream and not have it melt.
It runs off the 110v outlet that's in our truck bed or a 12V cig plug when it's in the backseat. We've left it run overnight while plugged into 12V and it didn't even pull the battery down.
Not sure of the price of the other ones you guys were mentioning, but wanted to throw this out as an option that we've been very happy with.
Wow that looks nice! i use some ice packs they are flat plastick boxes that have salt water in them- i never empty them and they don't leak-- just pull them out of the freezer and put them in any cooler. No mess no fuss. I have 2 eletric fridges but mine do not go down to 4 drgs. My ice paks last 5 days in 90 drg weather in the cooler so i am happy with them.
Nice! That's way better than using ice. We got so sick of buying a big bag of ice every weekend for camping and then every other day on vacation. The cost was adding up quickly and made for unnecessary stops during busy schedules.
I'd say if you're getting 5 days out of the ice paks then you have it figured out
