Hello, I am looking to update my distributor to a Pertronix Ignitor II and adding a Flame Thrower II coil but have a question about what is attached to the current coil. This is not my engine but has a similar coil setup. What is the little do-dad on the coil mount that is on the same terminal as the wire from the starter switch? I looked through the service manual and some other diagrams but do not see it mentioned and wonder if it will be needed with the new coil. Anyone know what this is off the top of your mellon?
