Something I haven’t gotten around to doing yet is replacing my brake pads in my 22. They are still working fine, but the brake dust… wow! Every time I wash my truck the front wheels are covered in black dust. So, just curious, for those that have changed their front brake pads and didn’t go back with OEM, which pads do you use?
I would NEVER run their drilled and slotted rotors on one of my trucks...
Most ceramic based pads have way less dust than stock. You do not need rotors yet anyway. Pretty sure I would choose something other than Power Stop myself, seems like more marketing and flash than substance.
The OEM rotors work well with the Z36 pads. No need to upgrade to the Powerstop rotors. These trucks have monster brakes on them.

I was wondering about the rotors; their website kept suggesting the upgrade package, and that's not happening. Nice to see the pads alone are a worthwhile purchase, you guys answered my unasked question. 👍

I've done power stop brakes and vented/slotted rotors on my jeep wj and on my Subaru xt . Well worth the money. When my truck needs them, I will do the same setup on it.
I've done Power Stop Z36 pads and drilled/slotted rotors on my OBS F350 and a 2005 F350 dually. I think you have to either never have tried them before and after or you didn't bleed your brakes properly if you dont think they stop better.
Price out the OEM pads and rotors and then compare the price. It was almost the same price for Power Stops on both of those trucks and towing at or near your max weight you can tell a difference between the factory pads that melt when you have to stand on the brakes to avoid hitting moose and the power stops which actually stop you.

I'm going to need to see some photos of that Subaru XT and it's sweet, sweet 1980's fighter cockpit interior.
