high output alternators

high output alternators

Does anyone have any experience with these alternators? They offer 135amp, 160amp and 200amp.

Summit has alternators (powermaster) 140-200 made for each application bronco included TR

I had rebuilt a powermaster alternater. the guy had it on a shelf for 8 months before he was ready for it , project truck.
There about as cheap as a reman from autozone.

I'm a little late on this post, but I was talking to a service person at Pep Boys and he was talking about a 130 amp range alternater as a replacement for mine in the Bronco. Turned out my DVD player was left on over the weekend and drained the battery, but its what I would have gotten

I'd hit up a junkyard to find a factory 130A from a Towncar or Crown Vic. before you go all out. It should do the job quite nicely for you. I'm not sure of the years they came on, but somebody around here is bound to know. I think there were some on mustangs, too. It has 130 stamped right into the case near the upper mounting hole.
