I just bought a 1982 Flareside 4x4. I'm curious as to my limitations concerning wheel/tire sizes without a lift. Are 33x12.50 on 15x10 ok? Any pics for reference is greatly appreciated
I have 32x11.50s on 15x8 rims with 4 inches of backspacing on mine with just new 3/4T springs up front. The truck is currently at the alignment shop, but here's a pic... I'll put up another one when l get it back:
I expect the front springs to settle-in a bit with miles.
By comparison, l put 33s on my 76 and 73 with 0 modifications.
This one has 15x10s, but it also has a solid front axle. I think there will be rubbing issues at one side or the other with 10" wide rims on a TTB front... radius arms or fender, depending on offset.
Do those 32X11.50's rub when you turn? Did you ever get more pics?
They've never rubbed yet. I haven't taken it out in the desert and gotten it all twisted-up, but on the road and in normal parking lot maneuvers it does fine and has plenty of clearance all around.

That is a good looking truck! I have 33x12.50s and they rub a bunch. Want to get rid of the rub and either gonna go with the 31X10.50 or now considering these 32X11.50s. Thanks for the reply
