i figured they were a solid line of amps. looks like ill finally have a replacement for my jensen. =).
PS: any info on the Punch 40 series RF amps? i know they were underrated and are power houses but anyone have personal expirience with them? and any specs?
Don't know about the RF 40 series, but always heard good things about RF
the Alpines will be a great replacement for your jensen
A few years ago me and a friend both built systems for our cars, and used the same woofer, in a band pass box
I had an Alpine 120w amp, and he had a Jensen 200w
he could just BARELY out thump me-for about 1 minute
then his amp would overheat and shut down
never once did mine do that
/////Alpine all the way
always good to hear alpines are doin good. but dont get me wrong, i pounded my jensen to death. it was ran down to 1 ohm for about 30 mins and still kept thumpin. i used it to power 2 subs and then finally my speakers but its still goin after a yr and 1/2. but i noticed 2 outta the 4 channels fade out sometimes and i think one is pretty much trashed.
yeah I realize that was just my personal experience
and lots of people prolly love Jensen
I don't trust them myself
Jensen also owns many different brands
those RFs you're talkin about are prolly pretty nice too
no personal experience, but they should be comparable to the Alpines
