....I'd wait a few more months. If you've been haunting Got Pressure forums recently you may have heard about Whipple's upcoming kits for 5.4 2v and 3v applications. They are supposed to offer intercooled and non-intercooled kits. I'm serious interested in the intercooled kits seeing that's one of the drawbacks to getting a Kenne Bell kit....they don't have intercoolers for 5.4's other than Lightnings. The current Whipple for the V-10's non-intercooled go for around $4,000 and I think the I/C 5.4 kits will be priced around the same if maybe a little more. Whipple just unveiled the kits at the recent SEMA show....go to that website and look under performance products to find a picture of the kit....it =
From what I've heard from people who've e-mailed Whipple and have gotten replies about the kits coming in early '04.....any info on Works though? I think they use the same compressors and make kits for 5.4's currently...
I recently e-mailed Whipple asking them if they make a kit for the 5.4. The reply was it's in developement, but not yet available. Keep checking back......
I just received this from Whipple in my e-mail today:
"We are currently developing a supercharger system for the new 5.4 3 and 2 valve motor. We are running a prototype and are awaiting CARB approval.
The system should be ready to sell at the beginning of the year. We will offer an intercooled and non-intercooled. The system will come complete with everything you need to install it. I will keep your e-mail address and notify you with any development details.
Thank you for your interest,
