I found that after I stop there’s often some liquid dripping from a black “valve” on the passenger side of the firewall, see photo. It seems to be water, but I’m not sure.
So the OP doesn't get confused, the TSB is to fix a specific issue of condensation running back into the cab. What you are seeing, condensation coming out of that tube, is perfectly normal.
Thanks all. I was suspecting that, but in about two years of ownership I never seen any dripping so I was kind of surprised. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I live in Reno (very dry) and last week I was in Olema, on the coast (very humid) which of course made a big difference…
I never had the problem of wet carpets but I had a piece of rubber hose that for over the stub perfectly. Brings it out a bit further from the firewall so I definitely shouldn’t have any issues.
