Strut rod adjustment
What effects do strut rods have on alignment? I recently replaced one of the bushings and now it feels like the wheels are fighting each other. When I make a turn it feels like the inside tire turns more and really pulls the car that way, then when I correct the other wheel grabs and pulls the car the other way. What is the proper way to adjust these. Also I have a camber issue, is this also playing a role in this?

I have replaced my sway bar endlinks and main sway bar bushings with the polyurathane. it's like driving a totally different car. for the better of course. it changes a lot of the cars actions in corners and stance of the wheels. you want to get an alignment.
about half way down in the web page is some info on strut bars and bushings.
hopes this explains it better. the info should still apply to a 1960 model.

I made a statement that is not universally true about strut rods not being adjustable. The first point I should have made was that I was talking about OEM Rancheros. There are Ford car lines that have adjustable strut rods. I think the Fairmont was one. As demonstrated by the link shown in one of the posts above, you can get adjustable strut rods on the aftermarket. However, I really don't see a need for them in a stock application unless you are trying to compensate for some other problem.
Ranchero 77 makes a great point, there are things that should be replaced in pairs. Springs, ball joints, etc.
Sorry if I misled you.
