right carb?
I have a 64 Ford F250 with a 223 I6. At one point it was running great then I started having problems with the fuel system turned out the electric fuel pump I put on wasn't making a good ground connection and wasn't pumping enough fuel. In the mean time while I was trying to find the problem I put a new carb on, an Autolite 1100. Now I am still having problems getting enough fuel to the engine. One old shade tree mechanic told me the carb is too small, the 1100 was for 200 and 250 I6 in Mustangs and doesn't feed enough to the old 223. Would a carb off an old 300 I6 fit on the intake manifold? Any idea if the mixture can be enriched on this carb?
