Canada vs US window stickers

Looking at a used 2022 f250 platinum as I've given up hope on my custom order placed in 2021. Local dealer to me in the US has two on the lot. However, while they are platinum, the window stickers lookup function on their website show far less detail than US window stickers, in terms of standard features included with the platinum package. Given both show much less detail, I wondered if this was a Canada thing. I had thought a platinum was a platinum. Any help or experience on those stickers and anything to worry about when buying a used, reimported super duty?

Platinum is a platinum. Other than specific add on options, they all get the same features regardless what the sticker says. Just not enough room to list everything. There are specific differences though based on what Canada DOT requires and US DOT requires, such as the speedo and odo, and DRL and such, but trim wise, they are the same.

From what I've read, some features that would be options here in the US are included as standard there.
Also, I do know that some configurations are allowed up there that can't be configured here. Like LED headlights on a Super Cab for example.

Because of those differences I could see a Canadian SD, Platinum or otherwise, having more in the standard features section, and maybe less listed under optional. Or maybe they just put a $0 next to it in the options section. Sounds like you are seeing the opposite? Can you post a screen shot or link to one of these window stickers?

In this case, feels like just the opposite. Standard features are more basic. No mention of the B&O audio systems ultimate trailer, etc. The additional options section show up as normal, like twin panel roof, etc

I see what you mean now, there's a non Canadian Platinum for comparison. Big difference in what is listed as standard. I would think most of it is still included, just not important to Canadians to see it on the window sticker?

Conversely, a coworker bought a 2016 Canadian F150 a few years ago and it didn't even have a hitch receiver.

Should it have? A friend of mine baught a 2020 F-150, not Canadian, that didn't come with a reciever. Apparently on the XL's it has to be added as an option.

That heated rear seat is one item that is standard on the Platinum SD in Canada, optional here.

I don't know since I'm totally unfamiliar with the XL/XLT trim levels. Though his F150 was missing the hitch receiver, it did have a block heater. Thinking back, my '87 F350 SRW crew-cab didn't have an OEM hitch receiver either. It was built in Canada for the USN (I bought it as surplus) and didn't have a catalytic converter either (351 cubic inch gas V8).

If no towing package, it wont have a receiver. Lariat comes standard with a towing package, but XL/XLT base do not. One reason for the sticker differences could be based on advertising laws. They may be more stringent in the states.

We actually used the window sticker provided above earlier this week and walked through it almost feature by feature. As mentioned, it appears a platinum is a platinum US or Canada, with ultimate trailer tow and 360 cameras included, among the many other things also left off the sticker.

I was wondering this exact same thing tonight, thanks for the answers everyone. Along these same lines, can someone from the US drive to Canada and buy a truck and bring it back into the US; any licensing issues etc? I see on the Canadian window stickers they have some notable "vehicle not intended for US sale" verbage on them, guessing it's just something they have to put on there for export reasons...

You can, but you have to go through an importer to get it into the states. They have to change the IP to MPH and ODO to miles. They also do all the import paperwork and taxes. IOW it will be no cheaper buying in Canada than the US after all the fees and taxes are paid.
