Parking brake issues
2017 F-350, parking brakes do not release all the way...while driving you can here the squeal, baking up its more like a dragging sound. I pulled off the wheels, calipers and rotors, cleaned everything up with a wire brush, lubed the pivot points, the link rod that goes to the cable end, etc., put it all back together, adjusted the proper drag on the star wheel adjuster and all is good. My question is...why did this happen (the truck only has 60k on it, tows its share, never sees mud and parking brake is used daily) ?

I am guessing most people don't use the parking brake regularly, eventually having the parking brake just rust up in the off position. I am not sure if the park brake auto adjusts like rear drums of yonder, but maybe your regular use has kept the adjuster from rusting up and is adjusting when you back up?
