1999 e250 timing chain replacement?

1999 e250 timing chain replacement?
1999 E250 ext cargo van 375k miles what all has to get taken apart for the chain to get replaced, dealer said 12 hrs it can’t be that hard.

Which engine? If it's the 5.4 then it has 2 chains and lots of parts to remove/replace.
The V6 would be simpler.

you don’t give enough information, what size engine is it ? If it’s a 5.4 , that’s cheap

Here's an easy to understand on why ANY mechanic would charge a minimum of 12 hours labor replacing a Ford Modular Motor timing chain set PROPERLY:

It's real close to 2500.00 for the job, parts and labor
I would call that a big job
Use only Ford parts if you know what's best for you (a kit on ebay with everything is about 450.00)
fordtechmakeuloco has videos you can watch on YouTube, if you want to do it yourself
