Just had my truck painted and would like to finish up the rework with some new taillight lenses. I see that LMC has lenses to fit my truck, but I'm not sure of the quality. Does anyone have recent experience with LMC replacements or any other supplier, for that matter? More interested in quality and fit than price.
I used the cheap brand RockAuto sells (TYC). The tail light lenses and the front marker lenses both needed a touch up with a file for a nice fit. Very happy with my choice.
Pretty much everybody's selling the TYC lamps. With the age of the application and dwindling demand pretty much any other manufacturer who had made the tooling for these back in the day has discontinued them. There may be another one somewhere, China maybe, but if so there's not enough sales volume for me to be aware of it, and the automotive lighting space is where I make my living. They're one of the largest lamp manufacturers in the world, headquartered in Taiwan. They produce strictly aftermarket product for the North American market, but make OE lamps for other world markets. They're perfectly serviceable, I have a set in my truck.

I've also bought several of these (same brand) from Rockauto, & also had to touch up an edge or two with a file......but otherwise fine.
The older of these replacements are still as bright & clear as they were 5-6 years ago.
I bought a set of the TYC covers at a yard sale a couple years ago. This guy had parted out an 80's bullnose and had some parts left so he threw those in the sale too. I got the set for for $5, an almost new alternator for another $5 and some misc. interior parts for $10. Anyway, these TYC covers still look new and fit great, I recommend them.
Not tail lights, and I'm not sure of the brand (probably TYC), but the parking and marker lenses l bought were made in Taiwan and fit perfectly right outta the box.
Thank you. .
That stupid thing cost as much as the grille. I'll find a cheaper substitute if it ever needs replacement.
ALL of that stuff is replacements... the front was pretty hashed.

When I replaced mine a few years ago, it was cheaper to get the badge as a Ford tractor part than a truck part.....same item.

I'll keep that in mind. My truck came to me with a crusty, 80s, JC Whitney-esque square tube grille so l had no reference point to find a suitable alternative... couldn't even find one in a junkyard.

your gonna get a chuckle out of this… I took the trashed grill badge off mine, saw how much the new ones were… and decided to take a stab at doing my own with blue and silver… with a little additions 😂… not sure I will actually put it on, but… I had to try.
the part I can’t replicate is the thick clear cap over the badge… tried epoxy to start.
Thank you. .

The el chepos from Amazonia look just fine, but have horrible tape. Mine only stayed on a few days. Luckily, I found it before driving off. Added 3M tape it has stuck.
