Recently I posted that "We've been tasked with finding a historically significant Ford pickup truck." Somehow that got construed that I was engaging in solicitation for Marti Auto Works. Parse what I just wrote that "We've been tasked" meaning that a significant organization (not us) wanted to spotlight a historical Ford Pickup Truck. I've discovered this isn't the forum for trying to accomplish this. I received a very polite letter from a Super Moderator letting me know of the violation. Unfortunately, this will mean this website will not be part of that possible future event that will benefit the whole trucking hobby. I feel no ill will but realize that my attempt at trying to use this respected website to allow a free discussion in an attempt to help a major organization help out the Ford Truck hobby is futile. I'll be using other means to make this happen. I wish all Ford Truckers here well and keep up the great work here.
If this site has any merit or interest to your endeavor I'd contact said Super Moderator or IBTim himself to find a way to post here without violating the TOS.
JWA, an interesting idea, however, since my posts were deleted, that brought me back under five posts. I contacted IBTim as you suggested, received a private message, however I cannot reply since another Forum policy doesn't allow anyone to reply to private messages if they have less than five posts. And I can't post posts just to increase my post count, so you can see this is quite a mess that is becoming unworth my time. I spend time on forums like this trying to be helpful and the result is a lot of complications. Then, customers are upset with me that I don't get their Marti Reports to them. Do you see the vicious circle here? So I want to comply, I contact IBTim, I get a private message. I can't answer him so I have no way of answering his inquiry, which I would have gladly done. At a certain point, I have to determine that it is better to put my time and energy elsewhere.

Hey Kevin, I sent you the PM but did not notice your account did not have full PM access. I have corrected this.
I would like to make a suggestion on how to find your significant Ford Pickup, contact the Henry Ford Museum. BTW, every car guy, especially Ford guys should go at least once, go once, you'll be going again.
The museum is somewhat off the beaten path, so folks will have to plan an explicit trip to get there. But I do love museums, and zoos, so it's now on my list!
A bit easier to get to is the Corvette Museum on I-65 North of Nashville. Don't drive a day out of your way to get there unless you're a big Corvette fan, but if you're going to be near Nashville it's worth a side trip.
The museum has semi-permanent displays with interesting or historic vehicles. It also has loaners from Corvette owners that are in some way unique and worthy of display. One of the cars they had for a while was a '71 / '72 Corvette with 8, count em -- 8!, original miles. The original owner was a wealthy man with a teen-aged son that wanted a new Corvette so dad bought two, figuring the kid would wreck/ruin one, and parked it. The kid's Vet held up and the one in the barn sat there for years. The last I knew it still had the original tires on it, though I'm sure that after 50 years they must have been replaced by now. Thank goodness that car wasn't in the Museum when it collapsed a few years ago. I can't imagine what it would be worth today.
