Fuel Filter on 95 F150
I just spent 3 hours trying to remove the fuel filter on my 95 F150 extended cab. I have the correct tool, and was able to remove the outlet without too much hassle, but was not able to get the inlet side apart. Finally I gave up, and put it back together. Luckily it does not leak.
Any suggestions?????
Thanks

Fuel Filter on 95 F150
I had the same problem on my '96 Reg. cab. My filter is inside the frame-rail about the front of the bed. I also had the disconnect tool from Autozone. I couldn't remove either line and gave up also after about an hour. The other person who replied said to try harder. Trust me I was giving it all I had considering the amount of room available under there. Let me know what you find out, as I am in the same boat as you. Good luck.

Fuel Filter on 95 F150
I recently manage to get mine changed. I've got a 95 F-150, XLT/Off Road which come with skid plates. After trying to squeeze between the frame rail and the skid plate for about an hour I finally decided to take the skid plate off (which took some time) thinking that now it would be a snap. Ya right!! Well any way I had to round off the open end of the "special tool" where it slips over the fuel line and thing out the end that slips into the clamp area. and then it still took alot of pushing, twisting, foul language. At one point I was about ready to just replace the entire fuel line!!!! Modify your tool, and dont get the plastic ones, find one thats made of metal. Good Luck

I changed the frame mounted fuel filter on my truck with similar perseverence. Then I started looking for a better way. The next filter change was easy (20 min). The fuel filter clips into a bolt on frame bracket. This bracket is made with studs that pass through holes in the frame and secured with nuts. Remove the mounting nuts. Insert the special fuel line removal tool on the front side of the filter and disconnect the fuel line. Insert the fuel line removal tool on the rear side fuel line to release fuel line lock. Carefully remove the filter and bracket together. Reassemble in reverse order.Good Luck

I am not sure exactly if you have the same ones as I recently took off or not. The metal end connectors of the ones that I did had a piece of metal that looked similar to a cut hose clamp. I simply removed this internal 'clip' with a small/tiny screwdriver. You can reassemble the end to put it back on once you get it off.
