How much deisel has to be in oil for ford to except that there is problem. Who's word do they take for the problem??? Do I need to go to town and pay them for oil change etc. Can anybody give direction as to what I'm in for to get this problem solved??
I had deisel in the oil and it was the result of a bad injector. I had a lot of deisel in the oil. The put the new oil for free when they changed the injector. I have to say that was not the end of my problems.
There has been a lot of discussion on this topic here. I don't think Ford will come out and say exactly. I would guess that 5% or more would indicate a problem.
The best way to do it is get a free sample kit from www.blackstone-labs.com. Get a sample and send it in. Costs $20 to have it analyzed.
Get a sample when you get the oil changed. Be careful with those quck oil change places unless they know what they are doing with a diesel .
Some smal percentage of diesel in the first oil change is acceptable and should go away. The oil analysis should tell you.
Originally posted by International Tech there should be NO OIL in your fuel. If you have evidence of some take it to your dealer. It will only get worse.
HMM, oil in your fuel would be a strange problem alright!
