Wanting to do a lift on a TC. Would appreciate any advice about the best way to achieve it. Also can I go to a bigger tire size to achieve more ground clearance without affecting the vehicle negatively? Much appreciated.
Anything is possible. If you are willing to spend the money, there will be a shop somewhere who is willing to undertake the project. There have been people who have thrown away countless thousands of dollars, and years in time, trying to install a Ford Focus engine and manual transmission in a Transit Connect van.
The front suspension has struts. You can add coil spring spacers. Struts can be custom made. The rear suspension has coil springs. You could try finding coil springs from another vehicle which might work. You could have coil springs custom made. The concern would be the front end. What happens to the transaxles and steering geometry? A lot more will go into making the vehicle driveable after you lift it and install bigger wheels and tires.

I can't help you with the logistics of lifting the van as I'm opposed to it. However, all of the cargo vision vans have stiffer and tall rear coil springs. With these coil springs there's always a gap of 101mm or about 4'' inches at the rear wheels. So no matter what size wheel with tires, the gap is always the same. We've tested this with 16'' 17'' and 19'' wheels. and the gap is always the same. I can't recall the tag numbers of these springs as we've since had them removed and opted for a set of lowering springs. So if one is looking to lift at least the rear of the van and gain a 101mm gap at the rear wheels use the factory rear coil springs installed on every cargo version Connect.
