Since yesterday everytime I've started truck i get message to check fuel cap. I've confirmed numerous times its tight. Doesnt appear to be any damage. I've ran thru a full tank of fuel down to 1/4 and filled back up since. Can't seem to make it disappear? Any ideas? Message stays off once I click ok but reappears every startup now.

 

Could be just a bad fuel cap.

It could be the gas cap was loose (and the system hasn't recognized it's tight yet), or the cap could be bad. There could also be another EVAP system issue (if you have the gas engine), as this thread describes: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...warning-2.html

 

Just incase anyone has this issue, it seems to have disappeared after I popped the rubber gasket out of the cap and flipped it over.
