overheating issue

This truck is rather new to me. But I suspect the previous owner did away with the smog pump and just installed a shorter belt? There is no fan shroud, as far as the water pump I will have to crawl under and see if I can find a part number when I get home cause I cannot figure out where the part was bought from and so I can’t get part numbers from the store. The pcv hooks into the side of the air box the tv cable seems to be functional as far as I can tell. If you haven’t picked this up yet I’m not much of a mechanic myself so apologies for trying to fish answers out of a monkey

Well guys I think I’ve found my problem. After a lot of reading and testing I found the timing was retarded almost 10 degrees. I’m not sure if the distributor slipped or what anyways I set the timing correctly today and I have had an issue with overheating yet. It might be a little early for celebration but I’ll keep an eye on things and be sure to let you guys know if it’s actually cleared up.
