there is a bypass pulley you will need and your shroud need may be fillable by yard or ebay

Codes are still retrievable with a burnt out CEL. You'll just need a test-light and connect it to the diagnostic port. Lots of articles about how to do that.

Well guys I think I’ve found my problem. After a lot of reading and testing I found the timing was retarded almost 10 degrees. I’m not sure if the distributor slipped or what anyways I set the timing correctly today and I have had an issue with overheating yet. It might be a little early for celebration but I’ll keep an eye on things and be sure to let you guys know if it’s actually cleared up.
