SYNC Version

I can't believe that it is so difficult (maybe just for me) to get the answer to "What is the current version of SYNC". When you google it, all I've been able to get is "How to find your version" to "How to update your SYNC". I show 3.0.20204 on the Display in the 2019 F250 but when I sign into my Ford Owners page, it says there's a SYNC update and shows that the version on my vehicle (using VIN number) is 3.0.18093. Anyone know what or how I can find out Ford's "CURRENT" version that's out there without paying a Ford Dealer to tell me (if they can)?
Thank you, Don

The current version of Sync will vary depending on year. Without going out to my truck to check I believe that 3.0 20204 is the most recent for your year Sync 3. It could be that the last update was done manually (USB) and the update file was not uploaded to the Ford site afterwards.

Ummm, if the Ford website says that your VIN# has an available SYNC update, do the update and afterwards, the screen in your vehicle will update to what the website says.

Don’t worry if the versions don’t match up…….your vehicle will not be downgraded to a less capable version.

Which means you do not have a 2017-2019. 17-19 start with a 3.0.

No, you can make a manual upgrade using CyanLabs and it will go all the way to 3.4. I did that on mine and it even updated the maps to the latest version (important in my case because they built a couple of brand new freeways around my area), works like a charm…

I totally don’t care about what FordPass thinks I have…

I'm fully aware of that. Have you read the OP, does he say anything about CyanLabs? No, he is specifically looking at the Ford Sync update site where he will not be given the choice to move to software 3.4. Posting up versions that aren't applicable to the 17-19, and aren't available to him on the Ford site, just makes it confusing. Updating to 3.4 using CyanLabs is another topic.

Ok, so it’s a simple misunderstanding. I did read the OP of course, and maybe HE doesn’t know about CyanLabs. You simply stated that “a 17-19 will start with 3.0” without any other detail, and I though that maybe it’d be useful for the OP to know that there’s a way to go higher.
