F550 Filter location is different?
Ive had this 03 F550 flatbed for a year or two now, and Im going to have some small bits of time to work on it soon here. Id like to have it drivable in a month, roughly; then pick away at the rest of the small things as I go. There really isnt anything big that I remember at the moment anyways; fixed the snapped shift column tube, rebuilding the brakes, couple bad coils, etc.
To the point.
When I was driving the truck before, it had a big issue with dust and crap in the cab all over when I go near even the slightest of dirty areas.
..Well its a work truck. There will be many more of those areas.
I wanted to help this by hopefully getting and installing a cabin air filter, while Im ordering a few other parts.
From what Ive seen, its supposed to be the same in all the F-series of this generation. Correct me if Im wrong.
Go under the passenger dash, cut out an already provisioned area, and stuff a filter in the hole.
Simple enough.
I guess my question is, Why don't I have one? As in, the provisioned, but blocked, rectangle area.
Just looked down there and its not the same.
Why would my F550 be different if parts and vids such as this \/
