2000 Excursion limited, v10 4wd 280000 miles
I dropped my gas tank to replace the fuel pump yesterday and figured out that the mount that holds the pump to the bottom of the tank was broken
Is it possible to convert this system to a non in tank fuel pump? Or somehow fix that bracket so i can continue with this tank?
Or do i have to search endlessly for a fuel tank from an excursion and hope it doesnt have the same problem

Im confused, is it the part that you lift out of the tank that is broken towards its bottom, or is something down inside the tank itself broken? Can you post a picture of the damage for clarification?

There's a pad, so to speak, molded into the bottom of the tank that the fuel pump assembly sits on to keep it in place.
Guardian is right there, it is molded into the tank and the problem is that the molding broke essentially
I actually found a tank on ebay that wasnt a bad price with shipping and overall cost, and ill just throw that one in. It took a bit of digging to find though, all of the tanks are in texas or eastern for some reason
