ive sorted out the non running problem( broken earth wire from FP relay) with the engine running when i put my foot down on the gas the engine starts to die but doesnt stall but when i lift my foot off the gas the revs increase ???? is it possible gas starvation is there any checks i can do to check out this problem
yep she is boggen out on you, change the fuel filter and adjust carb according to factory specs. use some carb cleaner and use according to can instructions . however they are very bad for carbing up in the intake you will know espesially in cold weather,
when the carb ports ice up.
remove intake and have a look at the exaust ports all of them but especially under the carb, these ports were disgned to fowl up and not heat the carb as it should.
let me know.
I had a similar problem, I tried everything from changing the distributor to map sensor and coil,new cap rotor plugs twice. the pickup on the distributor. just the other day it died on me when i was driving and i was looking under the hood and heard a clicking from the egr relay thats on the pass side fender next to the starter selinoid.it has the green and red vacuum lines on it plus a elec plug on it. I disconnected it and it wouldn't start, I went to my local junk yard and they told me that won't help, I took the shot anyway, I got it for ten bucks, installed it and it's been running great ever since.
