Do you have any pictures of the 56 panel you had..or do you still have it..?
I sold the 56 in '95, and I can't come up with any electronic pictures. I must have some old physical pics somewhere, but I don't know where! It was two-tone Dodge colors, primarily dark brown with lighter coppery brown roof and behind the doors on the panel part. One of the colors was Sierra Sunfire, can't remember the other. Both metallic. The 396 started life as a 375hp Chevelle motor, converted to stock car use when they still used big blocks. Solid lifters, 11:1, kind of a pain in the butt to keep tuned right. Pass everything but a gas station. No brake or suspension mods, just stuff a big motor in it and go. Ah, the things we did when we were kids!
[QUOTE=52Flthed;20545137]. Love to see the mirrors and any other shots of engine or interior./QUOTE]
I'll start another thread on the mirrors. I haven't searched so I don't know if mirrors have been covered in depth.
I did get a couple ignition/door keys made today. A local locksmith had a couple old blanks, nothing special. Now I can retire the streamliner version. The guy's father is really the locksmith who can make me a glovebox key, and he just had knee replacement so won't be in for a week or two.
When I installed a glove box lock this past Winter I had to enlist the help of my locksmith who came out to my truck and helped me get the glove box lock sorted out. The pins are a real pain in the neck they get easily lost and the hole that holds them is prone to cracking. It was far from a good design. He finally got it secured. Now it works well.
