Unhappy Brakes Pulsating

Hey all,
Here's something that I havee encountered just recently. When I'm heading down the road on a flat surface (Blacktop thus far) and I lightly press the brake pedal. it shakes the ba-jesus out of the truck. it's done this to me twice. but it doesn't happen when I stab the breaks, or heading up or down hills. Only on an even/flat surface. I wouldn't think that the ABS would kick in so dramatically at such light pressures. Could this be the sigh of warping? I hope not. and I almost rule that out because it's only done it 2 times and it hasn't been consistantly in the same place. I'm still under warranty and running stock drive train, tires and brakes still with lots of life on them at 40k. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would suspect rotor warpage or loose caliper bolts or ball joints or further yet tie-rod ends!
Maybe a sign of wheel bearings! any kind of play is not good.

Abs is a suttle pulsation ,different from rotor warpage.

Geezish I like my run on sentence ! I hated english
class !!!! LOL

rotors are your first choice...when you get those checked out have the bearings replaced.
i had my rotors "turned @ 60K Miles and around 90k they needed to be replaced. A Ford parts mgr guy that I know (works @ autozone now ) told me that the factory rotors suck anyway....
