Manual hub conversion

has anyone put manual hubs on newer style 1/2 tons? I know that warn makes a kit for dodges and jeeps, but I am unsure about Fords.

I don't think they make hubs. The 97 and newer don't use any type of locking hubs (f-150s). I believe it locks into 4x4 at the differential.

Yep, a electrically controlled, vacuum actuated, center axle disconnect. The outer hubs are similar to the ones found on the trucks rear end, locked unless you break the axle...

Depends on what you mean. It's good that you'll never have to worry about the vacuum engagement of the hubs, but you'll still have to worry about the vacuum engaging the axle. Ford solved one problem, but they introduced the potential for another.
