Truck Camper width Question

For you chumps in the know with experience with different campers, does a 93" wide camper feel roomier inside than an 86" camper and worth the effort.
I am going to sell my Lance 865, 86" wide, put some cash in my pocket and buy an older one with less bells and whistles. An early 2000s 815 maybe, they are 83" wide also.
I saw an 810 and a couple 835s or 845s that are 93" wide, not sure if that would feel that much difference inside and will the extra width catch that much more wind.
Not concerned about the weight, just for a few days fishing trips and the wife most likely will choose to stay home and watch TV.

We've had a wide array of campers over the years. For what it is worth, for a person camping by themselves, I doubt you will notice much of notable difference. I've never really paid too much attention to the width measurements. Where we noticed one huge difference was going from the E-W to N-S bed and the fact that one of us doesn't have to move to get by the other..

My biggest concern would be the difference in construction. Wood frame versus aluminum frame, structural integrity against leaks, delam and that sort of thing.
As far as wind, I would say that is nothing to worry about. For 2 day "by myself" camping / fishing trips the Legends 880 we had would be fantastic, and something along the size of a 650 would probably be just fine.

We now have a 2020 Lance 1062. It's just my wife and I so it could be considered overkill as far as size goes, but we like the room the double slide offers. Also, we are in that camper for everything from a weekend up to (so far) 2-1/2 months. We usually are at a lake or scenic area most of the summer spend plenty of time over the winter in it. With the slides in there is no access to the bathroom. Using the remote, by the time you get from the cab to the camper door, the slide is out and the bathroom is accessible.

Our ultimate Deluxe "camper". Still used in some of the more remote, RV unfriendly or prohibited areas.

Wilderness pack in - horse accessible areas "better than a lean-to fishing hut. Also a great way to get rid of the grand kids.

Room inside the 2020 Lance 1062.

Our camper history dating from 1978 when we bought a used camper to give us someplace to dry the kids out in NW Oregon.

Inside our Lance Legends 880. More than enough room.

For one person? Probably no big deal. Personal opinion I guess. Catch that much more wind? I think this difference would be negligible. If it's just you it's probably not worth worrying about getting a wide one.
